Boogs Rosales (b. 1987, Philippines) is a photographer, cameraman, scuba diver, and marine conservationist. Boogs is a founding partner of Studio H2O, a company specializing in exotic expeditions and underwater photography. His passion for exploration has led him to remote areas such as the Maldives, Micronesia, the Caribbean, and even the glacial waters of Iceland. His personal mission is to use his images to spark conversations and inspire action to protect our oceans.

Boogs’s photography has been featured in National Geographic, Ocean Geographic, Scuba Diver Australasia, Sport Diver Asia Pacific, and in various local publications. His work has appeared in billboards around the world as part of the Philippines’ official tourism campaign in 2016. As a videographer, he has filmed numerous underwater and aerial sequences for television networks and commercial productions. In 2015, Boogs contributed underwater and aerial footage for the documentary “On the Brink: Uncharted Waters”, a film that focuses on the impact of Whale shark tourism practices in the Philippines, which won the Conservation Award during the 2016 San Francisco Ocean Film Festival.

In line with his mission, Boogs has shared his imagery through exhibits and speaking engagements with organizations such as the World Wide Fund for Nature, Asian Development Bank, and the Philippines’ Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau. For his contributions to his community, he was named a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum in 2013.
